Saturday, January 27th
We left Minnesota’s winter for Mexico’s warm sand beaches. We got in pretty late (830pm) then an hour from the airport in Cancun to Playa Del Carmen. We got to the resort and Katie’s parents greeted us! It was really nice to be down. We wound down by walking around the grounds and taking pictures and then hit the hay pretty quick.
Sunday, January 28th
We got up today and had some breakfast and do what we typically do in Mexico. We walked around the beautiful grounds. Ate good food. Laid by the pool. Went in said pool. Had some good beverages and hung out with family! Great first full day in Mexico!
Monday and Tuesday, January 29th and 30th
We did a lot of the same Monday, Tuesday! Not much to write about! Fantastic weather, food and family!
Wednesday, January 31st
Today we woke up and walked around, had some food and swam in the pool. Then Katie’s dad and I walked to a public beach not too far. It was pretty with a lagoon and bathrooms. Later in the afternoon Katie and I decided to go into town and walk around a little. It was pretty crazy busy and a LOT going on including a futbol match so we didn’t make it long and headed back to the resort and watched some karaoke.
Thursday, February 1st
We got up and going today and like every other day get a lot of exercise in right away in the morning and then we feel a bit better doing whatever we want the rest of the day. Today we lounged by the pool, saw an iguana, and walked the beach.
Friday, February 2nd
We woke up and hung around the resort as we are leaving to go home today! Last Mexican sunrise for now. What a beauty. Thanks Mexico!
